MONDIACULT 2025

The comission
Briefing

MONDIACULT, the World Conference on Cultural Politics and Sustainable Development, is the most significant international meeting in culture, organized by UNESCO. This is a ministerial forum where the ministers of culture from member states collaborate to establish and commit to the global cultural agenda. In 2025, in its third edition, MONDIACULT was held at the Barcelona International Convention Center from September 29 to October 1, in collaboration with the Spanish government's Ministry of Culture.

At MONDIACULT, in addition to the presence of more than 130 ministers from around the world, cultural institutions, experts, and civil society representatives met to debate the role of culture in building more just, sustainable, and inclusive societies and establish the global cultural agenda for the coming years.

Objectives

Intermèdia Comunicació was responsible for supporting the Ministry of Culture in the press office and social media with the aim of ensuring that the Catalan and Spanish media disseminated the conference, sending the message to citizens that this is an event where not only ministers but also civil society meet, since it is a global forum for all entities linked to culture, experts, and institutions.

Our solution
Strategy

To publicize the Conference in the media, Intermedia worked in a phase prior to the event, focused on the preparation of editorial materials, such as the story and the press kit. They also worked on inviting the media to the press conference to present the Conference and a prior technical briefing, which was the first external communication action.

Intermedia also made arrangements for the recording of podcasts at the CCIB facilities during MONDIACULT. In addition, the agency team also managed contact with several journalists who participated as moderators in the twenty round tables held.

At the same time, a social media strategy was developed, with proposals for recording and preparing various audiovisual materials that ended up leading to the production of a presentation video for MONDIACULT. During the days that the Conference was held, a series of reels for social media was created to complement the rest of the content.

Action plan
  1. Creation of a media database.
  2. Preparation of the story and press kit.
  3. Management with various podcasts to record a program from the CCIB.
  4. Preparation of a plan for social media, with video scripts for social media.
  5. Development of a presentation video.
  6. Organization of the press conference and briefing, jointly with the Ministry of Culture.
  7. Press clipping of the presentation press conference.
  8. Management with the moderators of the various round tables.
